Updated: 31st March 2020
The ILFM is always focused on the wellbeing of our staff team, our members, students and delegates, this is our absolute priority.
Given the ongoing national situation and watching closely the government advice, we have taken some difficult decisions.
We are aware that many may be concerned by the continued spread of the virus. All members, delegates, students etc. can be reassured that we are taking this seriously and closely following the continued advice from UK Government Action Plan, Public Health England.
All ILFM information and notices with regard to COVID19 (Coronavirus) will appear on this page - This page will be updated as the information & advice changes.
Blog: Message from our CEO
We have made the decision to postpone all our face-to-face trainings from 18th March until the end of May 2020. We will continually review the fast changing situation as the weeks go on.
We will provide a FREE transfer to anyone booked into our trainings to a WEBINAR training, or a training date later in the summer/autumn.
Details and dates of our New webinars are on our training page
We have now made the decision to cancel all Exam Preparation Days AND all Examinations until the November exam sitting.
We are heartbroken to be in this position. We had hoped we could have run as normally as possible over the next few weeks and got exams in before summer. However, we will all do our utmost in the extra time we now have to prepare you for the November 2020 exams. The entire team will be working harder than ever to ensure you get all the help, support and resources you need to make sure that the Nov 2020 exams are successful for you.
The ILFM Support team is set up and ready to continue as normally as possible. Staff are set up and working from home and can access all our systems. We understand that many of our members will be involved in planning for business continuation during this time - please be assured we will be here to help you in any way we can.
A few things we have put in place to help you during these uncertain times:
1) New Webinar Dates
2) More capacity on our Live Support Chat
3) ILFM Connect
4) ILFM Answers
5) Please continue to call our normal number for anything you need. 020 8302 2867
ILFM Staff Team
As you are aware, much of the legal sector is temporarily paused as we all follow important government advice to stay at home, stop the spread of the virus and to protect our NHS. Like many other businesses and legal firms, who work within our sector, we have decided to take advantage of the Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme. The ILFM will therefore be operating with a reduced team for the next two months, starting on 1st April 2020 (tomorrow).
Some roles will be furloughed; we are currently expecting them to return on 1st June, however our Executive team will be continuing with a reduced office team.
Throughout this period, we will have a very able team remaining to support you.
When you need to get in touch, please email or call as you normally would, our team will be pleased to help you.
This is an unprecedented situation for our industry and calls for us all to make difficult decisions. The prudent and cautious steps we are taking today will ensure ILFM comes out of this situation fitter and stronger, and able to support you and your businesses for many years to come.
We will, of course, continue to monitor the situation very closely and keep you updated of any changes to our plan.
As ever, we will do our very best to support you during the next months.
We thank you for your continued support and wish you all the best for the coming weeks.
We have been discussing with the printers and distributors of Legal Abacus whether they can service us for the May/June 2020 issue under the current circumstances. They of course need to consider their staff safety and the possible lock-down situation when the issue is ready for production. Also we have considered the fact that many of our members have Legal Abacus delivered to work addresses, and are likely to be working from home.
Therefore, we still plan to produce a full edition of LA for May/June 2020 but this will be sent to you in Digital format (page turn PDF) only and will not be printed and posted.
We hope very much to be back to normal for July/August
