I’m Louise, I am the ILFM Management Accountant .
I started my working life as an admin assistant in the accounts department for a publishing house and have gradually worked my way up. My background is mostly in the travel industry but I have worked in advertising too. I have completed 2/3 of my ACCA studies and I am just one exam away from being part qualified. I put my studies on hold when I fell pregnant with my first child.
I have had two major achievements in life, the first one being a solo round the world trip following redundancy. I spent eight months away from the UK visiting Antarctica, China, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada. It was a great journey and I have many fond memories and lots of new friends all around the world.
The second is my wonderful family. I have been married to Steve for almost eight years now and have two beautiful daughters, Charlotte who will be six in July and Elisabeth who will be four in December. They are my life! But when I am not with my own girls I run a Rainbows unit (before Brownies) looking after twelve other girls aged between five and seven. Its great fun! My other big passion is football. I support Manchester United. I have been a season ticket holder since 1994 but unfortunately do not get to many games now that I am a Mummy.
I joined the ILFM in September 2012 as an Accountant. I am only here part time, Wednesday all day and Friday morning each week but I love it….Great staff and a great place to work and a break from the kids! For two days of the week I get to be Louise again rather than Mummy and I love that :o)
