ILFM Diploma (ILFMDip)
This diploma suits those in legal finance who would like to understand more about the role of legal bookkeeping to support their work and to advance their career. This Diploma also suits those relatively new to legal finance. The full Diploma qualification comprises two certificates:
- Bookkeeping for Legal Finance Professionals; and
- Legal Finance Compliance & Accounts Rules (Coming soon for NI - with NI Rules)
Together these provide a sound, comprehensive and practical knowledge of how to maintain solicitors’ internal records and how to adhere to compliance and regulatory rules.
Students may apply for an exemption from the Bookkeeping for Legal Finance Professionals Certificate if they already have a relevant qualification. ILFM membership is a requirement of study and the course fee applies to each certificate taken individually, or can be purchased together for the full qualification.
ILFM Fellowship (FIFLM)
Students who have been awarded the ILFM Diploma qualification can register for the Fellowship qualification (FILFM), which comprises four certificates:
- Accounting for legal finance professionals.
- Financial management.
- Tax for legal finance professionals; and
- Legal practice management.
To gain the Fellowship qualification, candidates need to pass both certificates 1 and 2 plus either certificate 3 or 4.
