Ian is a Director in the Professional Practices Group of Crowe Clark Whitehill, a large national firm of accountants ranked number 14 in the UK, and works mainly with solicitor clients.
He is very experienced in all aspects of advising legal practices and has particular expertise in offering advice on all aspects of the SRA Accounts Rules, as well as management reporting, accounting, taxation and performance issues. Prior to joining Crowe Clark Whitehill, Ian worked for more than 8 years with Hazlewoods, where he was a Director in their Legal Team, and, before that, with KPMG, where he headed up the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules audits for a number of large legal practice clients.
Ian qualified as an accountant in 2004 and has worked in private practice for the last 20 years. In addition to this, he lectures nationally on topics such as the SRA Accounts Rules and general financial compliance for law firms.
