ILFM Diploma - ILFM (Dip)

The ILFM Diploma signifies a distinguished level of professional achievement within both the Institute of Legal Finance & Management and the broader legal sector. Tailored for legal cashiers and legal accounts assistants, it is a recognised qualification for those seeking to strengthen their expertise across core areas of legal finance, compliance, and practice support.

ILFM (Dip) enables you to move from an Associate Member to a Full Member of the Institute and a ILFM Qualified.

Diploma Achievement Criteria

1) Diploma holders will have successfully completed both core modules—Bookkeeping for Legal Finance Professionals* and Legal Finance Compliance & Accounts Rules. Together, these units provide a comprehensive and practical foundation in maintaining a law firm’s internal financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory accounts rules or..

2) Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning, or APEL, which offers associate members a flexible route to full membership of the Institute.  Our accreditation process is robust and is, of course, not automatic.  For associate members who have impressive and relevant experience working within legal finance over at least eight years and who can demonstrate their thorough knowledge of client accounts for at least five years. This represents a unique opportunity to be recognised for hard work and commitment over many years.

Post-Nominal Letters - Designatory Letters

Upon successful award of the Diploma, members are entitled to use the prestigious post-nominal letters while maintaining current ILFM Membership:   ILFM (Dip) - (Full Member of the Institute of Legal Finance & Management)

Full Members also have voting rights.
