The Law Society of Northern Ireland partners with the Institute of Legal Finance & Management (ILFM)
The Law Society of Northern Ireland and the Institute of Legal Finance & Management (ILFM) announced today that the two organisations have begun a partnership that will provide law firm finance and management professionals in Northern Ireland invaluable support and training in their areas of work to support the work of the solicitors and fee earners.
This partnership will offer law firms in Northern Ireland an extra layer of protection via membership of a dedicated and independent professional body for legal finance and legal practice management staff.
The Law Society of Northern Ireland, via the ILFM, is also excited to provide anti-money laundering (AML) training by one of the leading trainers in the UK, Amy Bell.
Northern Ireland members of the ILFM will be able to get involved with the wider ILFM community and have experienced team members to discuss challenges they are facing, together with joining events and meeting like-minded colleagues in the same area of work.
The Law Society of Northern Ireland is the professional body for the solicitors' profession in Northern Ireland with the aim of protecting the public.
The Institute of Legal Finance & Management is one of the UK's leading membership organisations in the legal sector. It is the only professional body providing qualifications, training, knowledge, support and information for anyone working in legal finance and in legal practice management. Our members include legal cashiers, accounts managers, practice managers and sole practitioners and it now welcomes new members from Northern Ireland to join this community, sharing challenges and solutions, insights and a feeling of belonging to a professional body.
The ILFM offers recognised professional qualifications, regular training days on issues relevant to the industry, regulatory information and many support features and services, including an industry journal. The Institute has become the resource of choice for thousands of leading professionals in the legal sector, including many considering a new career in the legal sector.
Tim Kidd, Chief Executive of the ILFM said of the new partnership:
“I am absolutely thrilled to be able to offer the ILFM’s membership support to the many legal finance and law firm support professionals in Northern Ireland with our extensive knowledge hub, online training, virtual branch meetings and further events.
