We are looking for an Accountant.

Corker Binning is a leading boutique law firm, based in Central London, with specialist expertise in high-profile, complex and sensitive crime and regulatory investigations. The firm acts for a range of companies, professional firms and private individuals, both in the UK and abroad. The partners, all leaders in their fields, are supported by a dedicated team of Associates and support staff.

The role:
To provide Accountancy support services in the firm. This role involves liaising with the Partners, PAs, and Legal Cashier as well as an external accountancy firm. Corker Binning are looking for a knowledgeable, self-starter and dependable professional to join the team.

The role holder will be responsible for a host of key responsibilities including:

Preparing financial and management accounts reports for the firm’s Partners
Preparing the firm’s VAT returns
Preparing the partnership accounts
Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and SRA Accounts Rules
Liaising with external accountants on audits
Overseeing client billing rules including VAT application
Supervising accounts postings
Financial oversight including WIP reviews
Improving financial processes
Managing the firm's Legal Cashier

The role is either full-time or part-time (four days a week) and based in the office, allowing for up to 40% working from home.

Required:

Comprehensive knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
Professional accountancy certification such as ACCA, AAT, CIMA, or ICAEW
Proficiency using Xero
Proficiency using Partner for Windows (P4W)
Experience in a law firm
