I have always been interested in people and how building solid business relationships are the key to continued success. I have had a variety of business roles creating, building and maintaining business relationships and especially with membership organisations.
I started my own travel consultancy company when I was 21 and have always maintained an entrepreneurial outlook to business. I enjoyed many years working as a volunteer in the charity sector helping to build visibility and credibility for a lifesaving emergency blood transport and response organisation, now working with hospitals across the country and with the Air Ambulance.
For the last 19 years I have been mainly involved in membership organisations, including helping to introduce BNI; the worlds largest business referral organisation, into countries such as Malaysia, Spain, Vietnam and South Korea and helping in the design, realisation and roll out of a bespoke worldwide IT system. Most recently, I have been working with the Chambers of Commerce in Kent, representing private sector business to local and national government and getting involved in the debate on behalf of business, small and large, promoting the Chamber of Commerce business manifesto.
ILFM is already a well-respected and highly effective organisation; I want to use my experience in further adding value to members and building profile of the organisation. I'm very keen on collaboration, and think that it is a very positive and forward looking way to work in partnership with others. I will also look to develop partnerships with many other organisations to further raise profile and add more value to our members.
I look forward to connecting with you via Social Media Twitter @ILFMCEO, and look up our News/Blog page latest information
