Celebrating our award winners of 2020

  • Posted

Every year the ILFM hosts a lunch to celebrate the achievements of our students. Usually we invite our students to join us and many of our supporters in the wonderful surroundings of Middle Temple. However thanks to COVID-19, we have had to find a different way to celebrate.

This year we have been blown away at outstanding results achieved by students who find the time to juggle study and work with their home life somewhere in-between. Our qualifications are nationally recognised and are often listed as a requirement on job advertisements. So, everyone who succeeded in passing this last year now has that extra ‘stand out from the crowd’ bonus.

Tim Kidd said: "The success of our members is fundamental to the ILFM. We are very passionate about rewarding and recognising those members that have excelled in their exams. Many of our members have to juggle busy work lives as well as their studies which makes their achievement even more commendable.

"It gives me great pleasure that we were able send Awards to the winners, along with a lovely hamper, in lieu of the Awards Lunch they normally attend.  This was only possible thanks to Iceberg who kindly sponsored the Awards this year.

"Well done and congratulations to you all".

The Awards have been generously sponsored this year by Iceberg, who arranged for our winners to receive a delicious hamper to enjoy whilst celebrating their achievements.

Mike Stevenson, Managing Director at Iceberg said: “The team here at Iceberg would like to congratulate all the winners of the ILFM awards, who have worked incredibly hard to achieve such outstanding marks in their diplomas. We want to commend the effort, motivation and dedication that it takes to achieve these qualifications, particularly as all the winners are also working full-time while studying.

Iceberg is very proud to support the ILFM for another year and sponsor the great work it carries out as the UK's leading authority, membership body, qualification and training provider for the legal finance industry.

“The ILFM offers invaluable support to the professionals within our industry and the opportunity for continuous upskilling and on-the-job training. This contributes to constantly raising standards and improving skills within the legal finance industry.

Iceberg is a long-term partner of the ILFM having previously sponsored the annual conference and a number of yearly scholarships. We look forward to continuing this partnership in the future".

We are pleased to be able to present our second award for the CILEx Regulations Accounts Level One to Louise Bunn.

“This is a time of huge change, so seeking out opportunities for professional development and gaining relevant knowledge has never been more important for those in the legal sector.” said Carilyn Burman, CEO of CILEx Regulation. “Studying the ILFM accounts courses gives individuals a really good grounding in financial management, which is vital when you are looking to increase your career opportunities or talking to us about running your own business”.
